Raul Bautista: GTA 6's Veteran Bank Robber Explained
Raul Bautista became a fan favourite after the Extended Look. Here is what is known about the charismatic, increasingly reckless bank robber.
Raul Bautista is the character a hands-on Rockstar North preview singled out as an instant fan favourite after the Extended Look, and the footage gives him more concrete detail than most of the supporting cast has so far.
Who Raul is
An experienced bank robber, introduced to Jason and Lucia during a reckless cop chase in the Extended Look. He is described as charismatic but increasingly reckless with each job, pushing the people around him toward bigger risks. Jason and Lucia refer to him as Brian Heder's old cellmate, and there is a passing reference from Jason to Raul having a background in former Dominican intelligence work, though neither detail has been explained further.
Why he matters to the story
Raul is the character who pulls Jason and Lucia deeper into the conspiracy Rockstar has described, rather than someone on the edges of it like Cal Hampton. His escalating recklessness is also the clearest example so far of a supporting character whose choices put the two leads at direct risk.
