Jason Duval: GTA 6's Second Protagonist Explained
Jason Duval is the other half of the GTA 6 lead pairing. What has been shown, what has been said, and what is still guesswork.
Jason Duval gets less trailer time than Lucia, which has been read as everything from a hint about the story structure to nothing at all. The honest answer is that we do not know.
What is shown
- He is presented alongside Lucia throughout both trailers.
- The framing is a partnership under pressure rather than a crew.
- He appears in both the city and the coastal and rural areas.
What is not
His background, his role in the crime story, and how playing as him differs from playing as Lucia. Anything specific you read on those points is invention.
The people around him
A hands-on Rockstar North preview fills in more of the cast Jason moves through than the trailers ever did, starting with his employer and landlord Brian Heder and his friend Cal Hampton. The wider circle includes Boobie Ike, Raul Bautista and the corrupt officer Mendez.
