Who Brian is
Brian is an older drug runner working out of the Leonida Keys, established enough in that world that other people handle the riskier parts of his business for him. Jason works for Brian doing local shakedowns, and in exchange lives rent free in one of Brian's properties, the same house shown in trailer 2. According to a hands-on preview at Rockstar North, Brian has been married three times, and his third wife Lori appears alongside him during a dinner scene in the Extended Look.
The voice actor
Stephen Root, known for King of the Hill and Office Space, confirmed during an Associated Press interview that he voices Brian Heder, saying simply that fans are "gonna see him in there." Players had already suspected Root for over a year based on his distinctive delivery in trailer 2.
He joins Jason Duval as one of the characters Jason is closely tied to before the story's main conspiracy begins, and he is one of the first NPCs likely to hand Jason work.
