GTA 6 Online: What Rockstar Has Actually Said
GTA 6 Online has not been detailed by Rockstar. Here is the small amount that is official, and why the rest of what you read is speculation.
Almost everything written about GTA 6 Online is guesswork built on GTA Online. That is a reasonable starting point, but it is not news. This page keeps the two apart.
What is official
Very little. Rockstar has confirmed that support for GTA Online continues, and Take-Two has spoken in general terms about recurrent spending remaining central to the business. Neither statement describes GTA 6 Online as a product.
Reasonable expectations, clearly labelled
- An online mode arriving after the single player launch rather than alongside it. This is what happened with GTA 5.
- Progression built around money, properties and businesses, since that is the loop Rockstar has iterated on for a decade.
- Seasonal content updates rather than a one time release.
None of that is confirmed. We publish it because guessing openly is more useful than pretending the question does not exist, and because it is labelled.
