What the Standard and Ultimate editions of GTA 6 actually cost, what the Ultimate upgrade adds, and why the box has no disc in it.

Preloading
Preloading opens on 12 November 2026, a week ahead of the 19 November launch, for anyone who has pre-ordered digitally. That week matters more than it sounds: a multi-platform, day-one release like this one pulls a large file, and starting the download early is the easiest way to avoid a launch-night queue.
Is the Ultimate Edition worth it
If character customisation and vehicle variety matter to you from hour one, the exclusive shops and vehicles are a real difference. If you mainly care about the story, the $20 upgrade path means there is no rush: play Standard, decide later, spend the extra twenty dollars only once you actually want what Ultimate adds.
